ABOUT DR. KORTZ

Dr. Andrew Kortz is a board-certified ophthalmologist with 30 years of experience providing advanced eye care to the Pensacola community and surrounding areas. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida before attending Columbia University for his medical degree. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the National Naval Medical Center and a cornea fellowship at Emory University.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Kortz served as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon. Today, he focuses on cataract surgery, corneal disease, external eye disorders, and refractive procedures, blending precision surgical skill with a commitment to personalized patient care.

An active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Kortz stays at the forefront of advancements in his field while ensuring each patient receives attentive, individualized treatment. Outside of medicine, he enjoys biking, reading, and spending time with his cat, Esmeralda.
